News for expats on COVID-19 - update 28.04.2020

The Council of Ministers will adopt a plan today Thuesday for gradual de-escalation for sectors and regions. This means that the rules will be the same for all
Regions but not at the same speed.
The same happens with air-traffic. The restrictions not to fly to Spain/Italy as they were high risk countries, have already been lifted, but for now we are still ina state of emergency until at least the 10th of May. That is also the reason that airlines practically do not offer flights. Borders are also still closed and unless it is not strictly necessary, the rule is that people should not travel. Nor should one go to the second homes; even the Spaniards, for example, are not allowed to go to their second house on the beach.
People still don’t know when it will be possible to come to Spain again. Airlines offer flights from different dates in May. For example Transavia offers flights
from the 28th of  May, Ryanair from the 8th of May and Brussels Airlines from the 15th of May. Of course one should visit the websites of the various airlines to check this.
