News for expats on COVID-19 - update 12.05.2020

Yesterday there was still spoken, that it was possible to drive without any problems throughout the whole province because it had passed to phase “1”, but that there were still many doubts and that on a daily basis it would become clearer. Now we can provide the correct information as it has been confirmed that indeed the Region of Murcia, people are allowed to drive through the province without problems, because the entire province has passed to phase “1”.
In the province of Alicante however, things are different because they have passed to phase “1” by sanitary zone. So it depends in which sanitary zone you live to know where you can move without any problems. It is not allowed to go from one zone to the other, except if it is to go to the work or to get a kind of health care. To make sure it is clear for everyone, we will add the list of villages/towns that belong to the sanitary zone of Torrevieja and Orihuela. Once again we want to repeat that one can only move in the zone where one lives.

Sanitary zone of Torrevieja:
Benijofar, Formentera, Guardamar del Segura, Los Montesinos, Orihuela Costa, Pilar de la Horadada, Rojales, San Fulgencio, San Miguel de Salinas, Torremendo y Torrevieja.

Sanitary zone of Orihuela:
Albatera, Algorfa, Almoradi, Benferri, Bigastro, Callosa de Segura, Catral, Cox, Daya Nueva, Daya Vieja, Dolores, Granja de Rocamora, Jacarilla, Orihuela, Redovan, Rafal y San Isidro.

We recommend you to follow this blog as we will up-date the information daily.
