News for expats on COVID-19

The police have their hands full checking that the Spaniards are actually complying with the measures taken during the state of emergency, but there are also many foreigner people living in the provinces of Alicante and Murcia who do not understand everything, mainly because they do not speak the language.

We will therefore give you as much information as possible on this blog so that you also stay informed of all developments in Spain.

Many Townhalls have now also started to inform foreigners through their channels, so information can often be found on their website.

The general rule is as follows until at least the 29th of April of 2020:

You should not be on the street unless you go to the nearest supermarket, other smaller shops such as bakery or butcher but always alone. You can also go to the pharmacy, pet shop or animal clinic, post offices, banks, petrol stations and of course if you have to see a doctor yourself.
Walking the dog is also possible, but in the area of your house and alone, so not in company of somebody.
